Who We Are

Three Generations. One Company.

State Mechanical is a third-generation HVAC company, and that means something to us. My PawPaw, James Still, entered the industry in 1950 and opened his own residential company in 1972. My father, Jerry Still, earned his license in 1974 and eventually branched off to build a commercial division — growing it into the successful company it is today.

I’m Jacob Still. I joined the business about ten years ago just to help my dad out — never imagining it would turn into a career path I love. Living through the ups and downs, the growing pains, the long days — all of it taught me things I couldn’t have learned anywhere else. As the years went on, I realized what my father was really teaching me, and how much this business meant to him.

That’s when my passion really took hold. I made it my mission to carry this legacy forward — and my contribution is bringing State Mechanical back to its roots by building out the residential division alongside our commercial work.
